The epistemological reflections focus on determining the necessary and sufficient conditions for the knowledge  production of and the investigation of the knowledge sources  for Big Data and its characteristics. The ethical reflections come from  use and manipulation of these large data sets and their implications, mainly related to privacy. In this sense, the fields of Information Science and Data Science intersect, seeking to investigate data-information sets on an increasing scale. The set of these reflections aims to contribute to the discussion in the scientific, construction of knowledge, and pedagogical field, bringing possibilities of studies and academic uses.
